Practical Tips for Customizing Your December Newsletter
Keep paragraphs short and use clear headings so parents can find key information fast. Include:
- A warm opening note about the month’s theme or highlights
- What the class is learning (songs, books, science activities, social skills)
- Important dates and closures (holiday breaks, parties, picture day)
- Practical reminders (extra clothes, donations, permission forms)
- Teacher contact information and an invitation for questions
Add a few classroom photos if space allows, or keep the design clean for easy black-and-white printing. Write in plain, friendly language. Inclusive wording such as “Happy Holidays” or “winter celebrations” works well for diverse families.
Print on standard letter-size paper or share the PDF via email, classroom apps, or a printed take-home folder. Many teachers keep a digital master and update it each year.
